Inter School Quiz Competition Conducted

As part of the Republic day celebration on Saturay, 25^th  January 2014  Meridan Public School, conducted an Inter School Quiz Competition  for  LP & UP students. Students from four School participated in program.

 Planning

 Planning for the Inter School Quiz Competition  began a month   before the actual event. It took a
lot of hard work involving preparing notification, making brochures, visiting school and publicity . We also had to have a couple of physical meeting to successfully plan this event.
At last on 25^th January Saturday the competition was held on school auditorium.

• 10:30 AM – 11.15 Just Introduction themselves
• 11.15 AM – 11.20 Prayer
• 11:20 AM – 11.30 Online Inauguration by KP Aboobacker  |(PTA President )
• 11.30:AM  – 12.30 PM Sessions
• LP Section – Akbarali .M
• UP Section – Abdul Rasheed
•  12.45    Announced the Results
• 1.00 PM  – 1.15 PM – .. : .. Feedback, Lunch  etc

Attendees

We planned to invite a total of 120 attendees. It was due to space constraints that we limited the number of participants to just 120 . As a tribute to the host institute we reserved 60 seats for LP students and the remaining 60 seats were set out UP Students . Registrations for the event opened on 15^th January , through the school blog and direct .
The registrations were open till 24th January, and we received 100+ registrations.

In recognition of their awe-inspiring performance in UP Section ,Fathima Binsiya .C and Shehna Sherin. K won first and second prizes respectively. They were came from National English Medium School , Nellikuth

In LP Section N. Shamil and Jalal Muhammed Musthafa won First and second prizes respectively. They were students from Meridian Public School.

Prize Distribution

 Prizes will be distributed on School annual day which scheduled to third week of February 2014. Congratulations to all participants.

New Academic block Inaugurated

MORE FACILITIES:Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed inaugurating a new academic block at Meridian Public School, Panthallur, on Saturday.

Lack of proficiency in the English language is one of the main issues facing education in Kerala, said Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed.

Speaking after inaugurating a new

academic block at Meridian Public School, Panthallur, near Manjeri on Saturday, Mr. Ahamed said that strengthening the English language proficiency of high school students was the need of the hour.

The Minister reminded parents that learning of poor English at high school level would reflect at the college level for students.

P. Ubaidulla, MLA, presided. Anakkayam grama panchayat president K.V. Mohammedali delivered the keynote address. Block panchayat member Lali Jose, K.P. Shafi, M.P. Abdul Hameed, Kathakali artiste Kottakkal Sasidharan, Malappuram Sahodaya president P. Abdul Nazar, and school chairman M.P. Kunhalavi spoke.

School principal K. Abdul Rasheed welcomed the gathering.

PTA president K.P. Aboobacker proposed a vote of thanks.

National Integretion- Inter School Quiz Competition 2014

“Quiz”  is an interesting and exciting competition, based on the knowledge of the

Participants, to test their awareness about national conciousness and freedom struggle. .

We are glad to inform you that Meridan Public School, is hosting Inter School Quiz Competition, as part of the Republic day celebration on Saturay, 25^th  January 2014 for  LP & UP students

·         Duration /Time : one hour (11.00 Am to 12.00 Pm)

·         Format : Written, 50 questions

·         Titles for the winners

A:        The Inter School Champion

B:        The Inter School Runner Up

C:        School Champions (from all participation schools)

You are requested to send the participation detailes (name, class,) along with authorised letter, to Meridian Public School, Pandallur office on or before 18^th January 2014.
