Onam Celebration - 2013

 It was a day of celebrations for schools on Friday. School closed for a nine-day Onam vacation on a jubilant note with teachers, children, and parents joining hands in the celebrations. Many flower carpet made by the students School brought a lot of curious onlookers to the campus.

And as part of it School conducted several competitions as part of Onam celebrations. MTA president Sonia inaugurated the festivities. School chairman M.P. Kunhalavi Haji presided. Children competed in events such as tug of war, biscuit catching, musical chair, and potato gathering

Dress Up Like Christopher Columbus

Students of Fifth standard organized the event in tribute to Christopher Columbus  life as part of their learning activity.
Christopher Columbus  (31 October 1451 – 20 May 1506) was an Italian explorer, navigator, born in the Republic of Genoa, in what is today northwestern Italy.

He completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean that led to general European awareness of the American continents. Those voyages, and his efforts to establish permanent settlements on the island of Hispaniola, initiated the Spanish colonization of the New World.
