National education day observed
National education day observed in school. The birth day of
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad a great freedom fighter an eminent first education minister
of independent India.His birth day (November 11 observe as ‘National Education
Day’ every year from 2008 onwards .
Maulana Abul Kalam Muhiyuddin Ahmed (11 November 1888 – 22
February 1958) was a Muslim scholar and a senior political leader of the Indian
independence movement. He was one of the most prominent Muslim leaders to
support Hindu-Muslim unity, opposing the partition of India on communal lines.
Following India’s independence, he became the first Minister of Education in
the Indian government. He is commonly remembered as Maulana Azad.
As part of this day Social Science club members prepared a
caricature of him and pasted in notice board. Teachers gave description about
him in various classes

Kerala Piravi’ day observed
Meridian Public School celebrated ‘Kerala Piravi’ day on Friday .Literature
and conducted quiz programme as part of it.Akshay(VII), Shanah Hussain(VII) and
Shamil (V) got various prizes respectively.
Social Science club one heritage expo . Students brought various
old tools which was used in kerala’s houses.PTA president K.P Aboobacker was
inaugurated the expo.MTA members also visited the expo.
Afternoon folk song competitions also conducted. Many students
participated in the competition.

Onam Celebration - 2013
It was a day of celebrations for schools on Friday. School closed for a nine-day Onam vacation on a jubilant note with teachers, children, and parents joining hands in the celebrations.
Many flower carpet made by the students School brought a lot of curious onlookers to the campus.
And as part of it School conducted several competitions as part of Onam celebrations. MTA president Sonia inaugurated the festivities. School chairman M.P. Kunhalavi Haji presided.

Students of Fifth standard organized the event in tribute to
Christopher Columbus life as part
of their learning activity.
